Dallas Cowboys: Apart from the Denver Broncos suffering an inexplicably mind-blowing 70-20 loss against the Miami Dolphins, one of the biggest disappointments of Week 3 has got to be the Cowboys. This team went into Sunday’s matchup against the Arizona Cardinals as the favorites as Dallas looked to maintain their (previously) undefeated record against a struggling Arizona side.
As it turns out, however, the Cardinals never got the memo.
Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott Draws Savage Trolling From Stephen A. Smith
Let’s just say that Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott did not have his best game on Sunday against Arizona. The two-time Pro Bowler went 25-of-40 on his passes for 249 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. Needless to say, it was a forgettable performance from Prescott in a game that many believed they should have won.
One of those folks is ESPN’s Stephen A Smith. The renowned analyst made his feelings abundantly clear on Monday’s episode of First Take as he mercilessly clowned Prescott at the first opportunity he had.
For added impact, Smith even decided to take a self-deprecating approach by showing a clip of his infamous honorary pitch for the New York Yankees. Stephen A used that miserable attempt for a pitch as a jumping point for his savagery on Prescott:
“You know I know that, that pitch right there made me look bad,” Smith said. “I know that it wasn’t a shining moment. I know that I didn’t live up to expectations. But I will remind the American public and the world, I am not a professional thrower of any ball. This dude is.”

Smith would then proceed to viciously laugh at his own joke at the expense of the much-criticized Cowboys quarterback.
I guess the silver lining here for Prescott and the Cowboys is that they will have a chance to redeem themselves on Sunday in a Week 4 matchup against the New England Patriots. That game can’t come soon enough for Dallas fans right now.
