NFL fans debated a controversial take former San Francisco 49ers legend Patrick Willis made about Colin Kaepernick and Brock Purdy. Willis baked up his former teammate.
Patrick Willis backed up a former San Francisco 49ers teammate
Per GH records, on his “RG3 and The Ones” podcast, Robert Griffin III asked Willis if he would take Purdy or Kaepernick on his team. The Hall of Fame linebacker said he’d take Kaepernick:
I’m going to have to take Kap,” declared Willis.
“A lot of people can go back and [nitpick] towards what it looked like towards his last couple years and whatnot with the Niners, or his last year with the Niners. He did what he needed to do. It may not have been in a way that—in a traditional quarterback throwing way, but, man, him, you (Griffin), you guys were something electrifying.”
“I love them 1A and 1B,” Willis added.

Fans were split between the two quarterbacks. Both led their team to the Super Bowl but came up three points short. Here are the best takes on fans discussing Willis’ choice between Kaepernick and Purdy.
With all due respect to Hall of Famer Patrick Willis, I disagree. Give me Purdy

What? Why? The next 2 years were when Kaepernick was good. He didn't do much in 2012. 13 and 14 were good.
Then 15-16 he went downhill.

The 49ers would be champions right now if they had Kap

2012 Kap was insane, Chip broke him

As a 49er fan, I respect the answer. Those couple years Kaep was doing things, athletically, that we hadn't seen until the NFL caught up with him and he couldn't adjust. Purdys the better QB though, Kap could never find touch on those intermediate throws but had a Cannon.

Kaep is the better player on his own, but I think Purdy is better in the current niners system

2012 Kap was amazing. If we are only talking about that year, i get it.
