In what some may consider as a surprising move, the Cleveland Browns traded for Jerry Jeudy in exchange for late-round picks and plenty of talk surrounding his NFL future.
While there are plenty of narratives and questions surrounding his NFL future, he has a chance to rewrite the narratives surrounding him with the Browns. He’s already thinking beyond the 2024 season by declaring his intentions to stay with his current team for the foreseeable future.
Jerry Jeudy wants to stay with the Cleveland Browns beyond 2024
Tony Grossi, a known analyst for the Cleveland Browns, broke the news that Jeudy wants to stay with the team for the foreseeable future.
His message was short and direct to the point, making it clear to the front office and the Browns fanbase that he wants to play for their team beyond 2024.
Jerry Jeudy on possible contract extension w Browns: I want to be home. I don’t want to be moving around. We’re gonna see what happens.

Before he even gets to the point that he can negotiate a new contract with the Browns, he needs to step up his level of performance. During his final year with the Broncos, he caught 54 passes for 758 yards and two touchdowns for 14 yards per catch.
While these numbers are solid for a serviceable WR, he’s getting a $13 million paycheck for the coming season. He will likely be out of a team if he doesn’t improve immediately.
Will Jerry Jeudy massively improve the Browns’ WR room?
Jeudy will have plenty of opportunities to stand out in the Cleveland Browns’ locker room with the quality of players on the team.
Amari Cooper is the most outstanding wideout for the Browns, catching for 1250 yards and five touchdowns, with Elijah Moore being WR2 at 640 yards and two TDs. David Njoku gets his touches with 882 yards and six TDs.
If he manages to establish himself as WR2 with the Browns, there’s no reason why he wouldn’t get the extension he’s looking for.
