The Chicago Bears may have a new starting quarterback for the 2024 NFL season, which would mean a new-look offense for the squad. Speaking of new looks, here’s something much more literal: Matt Eberflus’ haircut.
Chicago Bears Head Coach Matt Eberflus Has Fans Buzzing Over New Look
Eberflus’s appearance on Thursday during the introduction of Shane Waldron as the Bears’ new offensive coordinator seemingly caught a lot of people by surprise, with many reacting to the head coach’s look on X (formerly Twitter). This also begs the question: did the Bears just hire a stylist? Appearance matters even in the NFL, and Eberflus may have just perfectly personifed that.
“New Year, New Flus. He’s kinda winning me over with the new look,” said Brendan Sugrue.

“Brodie went from “I’ll be home by 10 honey” to “Bih, betta have my money,” commented @LostHebrew_Dre.
Matt Eberflus is going with a new look – a fledgling beard. Looks like he's been getting some sleep too. #bears pic.twitter.com/nCm30gIZVq

Here’s another reaction from @MattEurich: “Matt Eberflus went from Season 1 Michael Scott to Season 2 Michael Scott right in front of our eyes.”

From @MaxMarkhamNFL: “I was going to give Matt Eberflus every opportunity to win back my optimism this offseason. I just didnt think a fade and beard in February would be enough to do it. 😂”
Way better look, Matt.

“Flus went American Tax Accountant to Russinan Mob Boss,” said @TonythePodBoss.
“He just looks slightly more like jim caldwell which… does not inspire confidence,” chimed in @big_listener.
Hopefully for the Bears, who are coming off yet another disappointing season, the gods of football get impressed by Eberflus’ grey beard and a fresh haircut.
