Right now, Justin Fields isn’t exactly the most well-loved individual among the Chicago Bears faithful. In fact, supporters are already preparing themselves for the distinct possibility of Chicago parting ways with the 24-year-old quarterback this summer.
For his part, Fields hasn’t exactly helped his cause with his recent comments on LeBron James and Michael Jordan.
Chicago Bears QB Justin Fields Chimes in on LeBron Vs. MJ Debate
There were more than a few takeaways from Fields’ recent appearance on the St Brown Brothers podcast, which also included the embattled QB shedding light on his decision to unfollow the Bears on Instagram.
One bit from the podcast that has not gotten as much attention as it probably should is when Fields shared his take on the age-old LeBron vs. MJ debate. According to the former Ohio State standout, he’s taking the Los Angeles Lakers superstar over the Chicago legend:

It’s not as if Fields spewed some blasphemy against Jordan, nor did he sing LeBron’s high praises. However, this is pretty much a slap in the face for the Chicago fanbase.
There’s actually nothing wrong with Fields picking LeBron over Jordan, and he likely has a handful of valid reasons to do so. However, given his current situation, he probably should have known better.
Right now, the last thing he wants is for Chicago to turn on him (if they haven’t already?), and there’s no better way of doing that than by picking the enemy in the ever-contentious GOAT debate.
