Kansas City Chiefs fans were startled Saturday night by a couple of social media posts from one of their star pass rushers. The posts came days after winning the Super Bowl. The Chiefs plan to do everything they can this offseason to complete a threepeat.
The Kansas City Chiefs are going for a threepeat

Head coach Andy Reid and star tight end Travis Kelce are all in for the 2024 season. The Chiefs made a big decision to pick up defensive tackle Chris Jones’ option on Friday. The Chiefs need to figure out a way to sign him long-term or use the franchise tag before he hits free agency next month.
They might have to worry about another member of their defensive line.
Charles Omenihu wants to feel appreciated

Chiefs defensive end Charles Omenihu posted two cryptic messages on X that many are interpreting to be a sign he’s unhappy with his contract in Kansas City:
Want to feel appreciated.

Didn’t have a full season and put up numbers. Does that go unnoticed? Might have to do it again to get what I want at the end.

Omenihu signed a two-year deal worth $16 million last offseason. He served a six-game suspension to start the 2023 campaign due to violating the league’s personal conduct policy. Omenihu was productive after the suspension; he finished the regular season with seven sacks. He added a sack against the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC Championship Game.
Omenihu suffered a torn ACL in the AFC Championship Game against the Ravens and could not compete in the Super Bowl.
Chiefs fans react to Omenihu’s posts

It’s not clear who Omenihu’s message was intended for. Fans certainly seemed to think he’s valuable on the field. It’s hard to imagine the Chiefs wanting to give Omenihu more money since their cap space situation is already tight, and he’s coming off an injury.
Fans were unsettled by Omenihu’s message. Here are the best takes of fans reacting to Omenihu’s posts.
Aww pal we love ya. Come out to LA and we will make ya dinner

Definitely not unnoticed here ❤️ I hate that you got injured in the AFCCG… but your contributions are a part of a big effort that won us the whole thing. I mean that. Take care of yourself. We appreciate you so much! Can’t wait for the comeback. Hope you’re well.

Bro you were a menace this year in the games you played. I think we all can say that we are fired up for what you are going to bring next season. 💯

As fans it sucks when it’s time for contracts/negotiations that we have no say in. But I’ll say this, you were an absolute DAWG all year and made key plays throughout the regular AND post season before you got hurt. You were great this year and deserve this ring. Bless 🙏🏼
