Carolina Panthers sign a Pro Bowl running back
The Carolina Panthers are making the life of their future quarterback much easier during free agency this week. After losing their top receiver, D.J. Moore, to trade for the number one overall pick from the Chicago Bears, the Panthers have started signing around the offense. The team added tight end Hayden Hurst and a 2022 Pro Bowl running back Wednesday.
According to Ian Rapoport, the Panthers are signing former Philadelphia Eagles running back Miles Sanders.

Sanders had an excellent year in 2022. He ran for 1,269 yards rushing and 11 touchdowns en route to the Eagles’ run to winning the NFC Championship. Sanders was a former second-round selection in 2019 by the Eagles. He will go from a championship contender to a team that’s likely going to rebuild its roster around a rookie quarterback. Sanders will run behind a Panthers offensive line that is keeping all five starters for next season.
