The Cincinnati Bengals are about to lose a tight end
The Cincinnati Bengals are set to lose a former first-round tight end in free agency. The Bengals only have so much cap space to spend this offseason as they retain a roster that was a drive away from reaching their second consecutive Super Bowl appearance.
The Carolina Panthers are trying to build a roster to help a young quarterback out next season. They added help with a pass-catching position after losing D.J. Moore and keeping their offensive line stable.
According to Ian Rapoport with the NFL Network, the Panthers are set to sign Bengals tight end Hayden Hurst for the 2023 season.

Hurst was a 2018 first-round selection by the Baltimore Ravens. He’s coming off a year when he had 414 receiving yards and two touchdowns on a loaded Bengals pass-catching team. Hurst will look to earn a more prominent role in the Panthers’ offense with what will likely be a rookie quarterback looking his way after the draft. The Panthers own the number one overall pick in April after a blockbuster trade with the Chicago Bears.
