USC quarterback Caleb Williams has been the most sought-after player in the 2024 NFL draft. He has proven that he deserves to be drafted first overall throughout his college career, which has created excitement amongst NFL fans wondering where he will go. However, the star quarterback recently revealed the team that he does not want to play for on Twitter, sending NFL Twitter into a frenzy.

NFL Fans React
On Christmas Eve, Williams liked a tweet saying that the Chicago Bears should not draft him and go for star receiver Marvin Harrison instead. This comes as a shock as most fans and analysts heavily speculated that the quarterback would go first overall, which is currently held by the Bears. Williams has proven that he is one of if not the best quarterback in the draft, which would cause some major controversy if he did not want to play for Chicago.
NFL fans saw this news and quickly began recruiting the quarterback to several different teams that have a top-five draft pick at this point in the season.

Many fans are saying that Williams is being a “diva” and that he is doing all of this for attention. The star quarterback has been making headlines after stating that he wants to have partial ownership of whichever team decides to sign him. As unrealistic as this sounds, Williams has made his intentions very clear, which could drop him significantly in the draft order.
Caleb Williams Rumors
In his collegiate career, Williams has amounted to 10,082 passing yards, 14 interceptions, and 93 touchdowns. He is the 2022 Heisman Trophy winner and was one of the runner-ups for the award once again this season. He has proven that he is a generational talent, however, these actions from the star quarterback could come back to haunt him as rumors continue to swirl regarding his falloff.
Williams is still the favorite to be drafted with the first pick, which is currently held by Chicago. Their current quarterback Justin Fields has been having his best career season, though, which could lead to the team reconsidering what they plan to do with their pick. Will the USC quarterback be drafted first overall, or will he fall in the draft order, going to a team that nobody expected?

Being a follower of the Bears by default, I prefer keeping Feilds, draft Harrison and Alt and lets the chips fall. That being said, trade the # 1 and other 1st round pick for a couple of later rounds and 1st rounders for next year. Just because there is glitter and a fan club doesn’t mean the QB is a for certain starter in the NFL.
