BYU Injury Report for Week 7
After 6 weeks of football, BYU is seeing there fair share of injuries. The Cougars have now lost some for the season and some players are questionable to return to this week’s matchup. This BYU injury update comes from Head Coach Kalani Sitake’s Monday interview and from BYU writers who attend media portions of practice.
Offense
Jaren Hall
He got banged up against Utah State and didn’t really practice leading up to the Notre Dame game. Roderick said that ” he hasn’t missed any reps this week”. Hall’s injury last week hurt the passing game for the Cougars and it will hurt them again this week if the Cougars aren’t prepared.
Gunner Romney
Romney is expected to play this week after leaving last game early. He reaggravated his kidney injury from fall camp. Romney was transported to a local hospital for testing and was released later that night. Romney has been on everyone of the BYU injury updates this season. I hope he can stay healthy and finish out this season.
#BYU assistant head coach Ed Lamb on Coordinators' Corner said that Gunner Romney's hospital visit was precautionary.
Head Coach Kalani Sitake said that Romney didn't stay at the hospital over night.
More Sitake, "We're looking forward to him being ready for us this week."

Miles Davis
Coaches are hopeful that Davis will play this weekend after not playing against Notre Dame. Davis is needed for this matchup the run game has to be rolling and he is the only one so far this season who can keep it going.
Chase Roberts
Roberts is expected back after missing the Notre Dame and the Utah State game.
Puka Nacua
Nacua is feeling better and said this in an interview this week. This is great because a healthy Nacua is lethal to any offense as long as they play cleanly.
#BYU WR Puka Nacua on his health right now: "Pretty good. Nothing that limited me during the [Notre Dame] game. Obviously just not at 100%. Nothing where I wasn't able to perform at my best last Saturday. So I feel really good."#BYUFootball

Defense
Malik Moore
No update was given but he has been out with a hand injury. Moore has played a big role when in the game so sooner than later the defense is going to need him back.
Jakob Robinson
No update as given on Robinson on if he will play this game. Robinson got hurt in the Notre Dame game and left at some point.
Josh Larsen
Larsen is gone for the season. He got hurt in the Wyoming game and left on crutches.
Gabe Summers
Summers is based on pain tolerance. According to Sitake he is dealing with a PCL injury. This happened early but a Knee ligament injury takes time so its good that he is told that he can play if he can tolerate it. He has also been on quite a few BYU injury updates.
Kavika Gagnier
Gagnier is also a loss for the season. Not a big loss for the Cougars
Blake Mangelson
He will be back in a couple of weeks. Mangelson was playing back up lineman so not a big deal unless they lose a starter.
