What to Expect from the Cougars
Jaren Hall and the offense have to be sharp and on the same page this weekend. The Cougars had their top wide receivers back and both played but nothing seemed to work. Also, there were only 17 pass attempts this past weekend the passing game has been working in the past. If something is working keep doing it. The running game was doing great but with Davis out it hurt them so maybe not the run game unless he is playing because no one else can get it going.
The defense didn’t have a chance to ever breathe so yes their coverages were off but they played the majority of the game. They played 40 minutes and it hurt them so the offense needs to learn how to control the clock and make first downs. The play calling needs to change and it’s time to go back to the basics for the defense. No question that the defense needs to be strong and ready to stop the quarterback who is hard to stop.
What to Expect from the Razorbacks
KJ Jefferson and the Razorbacks are ready for BYU. After two tough losses in a row, they are ready to show the Cougars who can play ball. In Monday’s interviews, Head Coach Kalani Sitake said this about KJ Jefferson “He’s a special player. He’s big and he can fly. He has it all, so we have to be fundamentally sound assignment-wise because of the way he can punish you if you make mistakes. So, we can’t afford to make many mistakes against him, because he can punish you with his arm and legs. He makes a huge difference for their team.” He will hurt BYU if they are not playing fundamental ball.
The defense allows a lot of yards. This is where the offense needs to capitalize and make them pay. If the offense comes to play, their defense will struggle to play. Also if BYU can catch them off guard with something new it will be huge and also will throw them off.
