The Ohio State vs. Michigan game is finally here, and both parties refer to it as Hate Week. Michigan is coming off three straight seasons of beating the Buckeyes, but their recent history of success can all be flipped upside down this Saturday.
The Wolverines are one of the worst teams in the Big Ten, and they finally reached their sixth win of the season, beating up a sad Northwestern team. Ohio State should blow them away this weekend.
Ohio State Loses A Brutus Statue
While the two teams are preparing to play each other, Ohio State’s campus is also preparing for the game by crossing off all the M’s on every single word written around the school, and sadly, one of the campus’s best statues was vandalized hours after Michigan week started.
According to NBC 4 and the police, “the Brutus statue outside of College Traditions on West Lane Avenue was vandalized at approximately 3:15 a.m. on Sunday.”

Columbus CW reported,” Kelly Dawes, the store’s owner, said she discovered the statue on the ground when she arrived in the morning. Security footage captured the suspect beating and kicking the statue in the middle of the night.”
It has yet to be known why the person vandalized the statue, and there doesn’t seem to be any connection with it being Michigan week, but it does stink that the Brutus statue won’t be around during the most important week of the season.
Many fans look forward to taking a picture with Brutus every time they head to the game, and it’s even more special to see it right before they kick off against the Wolverines.
