Ole Miss and Lane Kiffin are putting the country on notice.
The Rebels dipped into the portal Sunday afternoon to land a pledge from former South Carolina wide receiver Antwane “Juice” Wells Jr., one of the better receivers in the transfer portal.
Here’s his announcement revealing his commitment to Kiffin and Ole Miss.

Ole Miss has done most of their damage in the portal on the defensive side of the ball, but Wells is the top offensive addition of the offseason thus far for the Rebels, there’s little question. Wells, who originally transferred to South Carolina from James Madison, has totaled 187 receptions for 2,818 yards and 28 touchdowns across his 4-year career in college.
Ole Miss Is Building Something Special Out Of The Transfer Portal
Wells is now part of what will be a dangerous wide receiver room next season in Oxford. The Rebels are returning Tre Harris and Jordan Watkins already, with official word from QB Jaxson Dart still pending as of 12/17.
And it’s not just the wide receivers who are returning. Micah Pettus, a standout OL for the Rebels, is also set to come back, as is TE Caden Prieskorn who had a strong 2023 season.
And don’t even get started on the portal, where Kiffin has done Yeoman’s work trying to build the Rebels’ defense into a true force next year. The Rebels have already landed pledges from former Arkansas LB Chris “Pooh” Paul, former Tennessee DB Tamarion McDonald, former Oklahoma DB Key Lawrence and former Tennessee edge Tyler Baron.
And that’s not even mentioning the Rebels’ pledges from former Florida Edge Princely Umanmielen and Illiois DB Tahveon Nicholson.
