Keenan Pili played for BYU from 2019-2022. He played in 36 games for the Cougars including against the Vols in 2019 when the Cougars beat them in overtime.
With his first season as a Cougar playing in 11 games with 25 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, one sack, and two pass break ups. Working alongside many great linebackers who played for the time with the Cougars and learning how to one day lead the Cougar defense.

In 2020 with a Covid season it didn’t stop the Cougars or Keenan Pili. He played in 10 games had 72 tackles, two tackles for loss, one fumble recovery, one quarterback hit and one pass break up. Flying all over the field for BYU that year he helped the Cougars to a 11-1 season and one of the top defenses in College Football.
The 2021 season came to a screaching hault for Pili when he tore his ACL only three games in. What many thought would be another breakout year for him ended early. In those three games he had 31 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, one sack, and one quarterback hit.

Keenan Pili in his final season as a Cougar
The final season for him as a Cougar wasn’t the best from the defensive side of the ball. Pili though still played in 12 games with 62 tackles, four tackles for loss, one sack, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and one pass break up. Also one of the most consistent and productive linebackers BYU had on defense this year along with Bywater, Wilgar and Tooley.
Tennessee is gaining a great linebacker and an amazing person off the field. He has two years of elgibility left.
