The Baltimore Ravens, who will not be bringing back Odell Beckham Jr next season are in the market for another wide receiver to pair next to Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman. They have set multiple visits with free agent wide receivers this week including Dallas Cowboys veteran Michael Gallup and the most recent report being Detroit Lions free agent Josh Reynolds.
Free Agent WR Josh Reynolds Set to Visit Baltimore Ravens on Friday
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Reynolds is expected to make the visit to Baltimore on Friday. The Lions drafted Jameson Williams in the first round of the 2022 draft and signed Donovan Peoples-Jones to a one-year deal in free agency. Which is likely the reason for Detroit not re-signing Reynolds. Williams stepped up last season with his explosive play and will likely receive a boost in snaps with Reynolds out of the mix.
Reynolds Looking to Sign with 4th NFL Team in 2024
After being drafted by the Los Angeles Rams in 2017, Reynolds signed with Detroit for three seasons totaling 97 catches for 1,393 yards and 10 touchdowns before becoming a free agent this off-season. He also played for the Tennessee Titans in 2020, where he was only active in 5 games.
Despite not being re-signed by the Lions this off-season, the 29-year-old has an opportunity to make an impact for a new franchise and the Ravens are in need of a veteran on the outside to mesh with two young receivers. Zay Flowers was one of the most productive rookie wide receivers in last year’s class and adding another veteran to the position group could be beneficial for his development.
