With Odell Beckham Jr announcing he’s leaving Baltimore after only one season, the Ravens feel they could use some help at Wide Receiver.
That brings us to Micheal Gallup, who was recently released by the Dallas Cowboys, a move that will eventually save them 9.5 million dollars in cap.
Per Adam Schefter, the Baltimore Ravens are hosting Gallup on a visit today, Gallup has already visited with the Carolina Panthers, but left without a deal.
Michael Gallup, earlier was permitted to seek a trade out of Dallas, but he was released instead
The former Colorado State star Gallup, tore his ACL in Week 17 of the 2022 season. Coming off of injury in 2022, he posted 39 receptions on 74 targets, totaling 424 yards and four touchdowns. He had a similar production this season. He played all 17 games with 34 catches, 418 yards and two touchdowns for Dallas.
Gallup put up his best stats in 2019, with 66 catches, 1107 yards, and 6 touchdowns.
Gallup signed a contract extension worth up to five years and $62.5 million ahead of the 2022 season.
The Baltimore Ravens Need Wide Receiver Help
With Odell Beckham Jr, and Devin Duvernay leaving the Ravens already this off-season, their WR Group is not nearly as deep right now. With Star rookie Zay Flowers, former first round pick Rashad Bateman, and recently re-signing Neslon Agholor, depth with Michael Gallup, will be needed.
Also, playing with 2x MVP Lamar Jackson is appealing to any WR, a huge reason Beckham signed with Baltimore prior to the 2023 season.
