The Baltimore Ravens, after taking apart an otherwise impressive Houston Texans team in the AFC Divisional Round, face what is undoubtedly their sternest test of the season when they host the Patrick Mahomes-led Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday afternoon.
The Baltimore Ravens Feared On Both Sides Of The Ball

Despite putting up strong numbers throughout the season, and having the presumptive MVP of the National Football League, it seems that the Ravens’ fierce defense is what most focus on when describing the AFC North champions.
Perhaps a main reason is that the offense is yet to have their best weapon back; a former All-Pro who ranks in the top 3 at his position, ever since injury cut short his regular season back in November.
Now it seems like his return could be as soon as Sunday for the AFC Championship game, as encouraging news came out earlier today, per Ian Rapoport.
Once again, #Ravens TE Mark Andrews (ankle) was a full participant in today’s practice.

What Will Mark Andrews Bring Back To The Ravens’ Offense?

Andrews hoped to be available for the Divisional Round game against the Texans, however, he was ultimately ruled inactive for the game. In the end, it did not matter as the Ravens rolled Texans 34-10 in a second half rout.
Impressive 2nd year tight end, Isaiah Likely, has without question exceeded expectations in the passing game over the past two months, compiling 339 yards and 4 touchdowns over the last 6 weeks of the season, in addition to an additional 34 yards and a touchdown last weekend.
Yet, Andrews is a totally different beast. Before injury this past season, he had not posted a season with less than 700 yards since his rookie year, and in 2021 put an incredible 1,361 yards and 9 TDs in a year in which the Ravens did not even make the playoffs!.
Andrews And Likely: A Match Made In Heaven?
If Andrews were to return, the Ravens would have yet another option on offense: a strong two tight end set that would not compromise the strength of the attacking output.
Having two big and versatile weapons that are as strong in both the running and passing game as Likely and Andrews will be a huge boost to the Ravens, as they attempt to foil one of the league’s best defensive units in the Kansas City Chiefs, where the Ravens are currently 3.5 point favorites.
Can Lamar finally lead his team to the pre- promised land – a Super Bowl appearance? We shall see on Sunday.
