The Baltimore Ravens lost in the AFC Divisional Round against the Buffalo Bills on the road. Many people will remember that game as a time Mark Andrews fumbled in the fourth quarter and also dropped a two-point conversion thrown by Lamar Jackson.

The Ravens have yet to get to a Super Bowl when Jackson is the starting quarterback. Baltimore will still be a contender next season. The question will be will Mark Andrews still be on the roster or not when next year comes.
NFL.com writer Matt Okada Thinks That Baltimore Ravens Tight End Mark Andrews Could Be Released This Offseason

NFL.com writer Matt Okada wrote about which potential AFC players could get released this offseason. One interesting that he wrote about was Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews. There would probably be a lot of happy Ravens fans if they decided to make this business move. However, Okada said:
“Immediate disclaimer: I think this is very unlikely. The chemistry between Lamar Jackson and Mark Andrews is too tight, and Andrews scored 11 touchdowns over Baltimore’s last 12 regular-season games. However, this article covers potential and there is a sliver of potential here. Despite the touchdowns, the veteran tight end was clearly less effective in 2024, averaging just 3.2 receptions and 39.6 yards per game — both his lowest career marks outside of his rookie season. The Ravens have another (younger) pass-catching tight end in Isaiah Likely. Cutting Andrews heading into a contract year would save $11 million for a franchise not currently in the greatest cap shape. And, of course, there was the playoff collapse. Still, Andrews is a core piece of this offense and locker room, so I don’t expect him to go anywhere in 2025.”
Mark Andrews this past season caught 55 passes for 673 yards receiving and 11 touchdowns, along with averaging 12.2 yards per reception. He was targeted 69 times. Andrews is 29 years old and was a third-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft.
He and Lamar Jackson have been teammates since the 2018 NFL season. Jackson has been relying on him over the last several seasons.
Isaiah Likely Ready To Take Over As Number 1 Tight End

The Ravens have two reliable tight ends, but it wouldn’t be a bad thing if they moved off of Andrews this offseason. A lot of Baltimore fans are ready to see what Isaiah Likely would do as the number one tight end. Likely this season caught 42 passes for 477 yards receiving and six touchdowns, along with averaging 11.4 yards per reception.
He was targeted 58 times. Likely has a chance to be the top target for Lamar Jackson next season if they move on from Andrews.
