After defeating the Houston Texans on Saturday with a score of 31-10, the Baltimore Ravens have advanced to their first AFC Championship game under MVP candidate quarterback Lamar Jackson. While the Ravens trending up heading into the biggest game of their season, they have done so without Jackson’s favorite target.
Baltimore Ravens TE Mark Andrews Not Activated from Injury Reserve vs Houston Texans
After practicing in full participation on Thursday, tight end Mark Andrews was not activated from injury reserve and did not suit up on Saturday versus the Texans. Andrews suffered a fractured left fibula and ligament damage in his ankle back on November 16th and has been on injury reserve since.

Jackson once referred to his connection with Andrews as “bread and butter” and getting him back on the field would only boost Baltimore’s passing offense. While he logged full participation on Thursday last week, Andrews will still be monitored throughout practice leading up to Sunday’s AFC Championship game versus the Kansas City Chiefs.
TE Isaiah Likely Has Scored 6 Touchdowns Since Andrews Injury
While Andrews has been on the sidelines recovering, backup tight end Isaiah Likely has taken full advantage of his opportunity. Since the injury, Likely has caught 23 balls for 356 yards and 6 touchdowns including a score in the fourth quarter last week versus Houston to put the game out of reach. If Andrews cannot suit up once again, expect Likely to continue serving as Jackson’s safety blanket in the meantime.
AFC Championship Game Begins Sunday at 3:00 PM Eastern Time on CBS
Andrews will have multiple chances to log practice participation before the Ravens make a ruling on his status for Sunday. This seasons AFC Championship game between Baltimore and Kansas City will take place in M&T Bank Stadium at 3:00 PM Eastern Time on CBS.
