And with an eight-minute speech, it’s now official. Tony Boselli becomes the first member of the Jacksonville Jaguars to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. The first ever draft selection for the expansion franchise Jaguars in 1995, Boselli would deliver six seasons of elite blindside protection before shoulder injuries ended his career. On Saturday afternoon, that career was given the respect it deserved, as Boselli joined the annals of NFL greats. https://twitter.com/ProFootballHOF/status/1555771984046424067 Looking resplendent in his tailor-made gold jacket, Boselli handled his induction speech with the composure he showed on the field. The offensive tackle was introduced by Mark…

Yes, it was only a preseason game. But the Jacksonville Jaguars were humbled in Canton, Ohio on Thursday night. The Jags went down 27-11 to the Raiders in the annual Hall of Fame Game – only the second time the franchise has participated in the contest. But preseason isn’t about the result. Everything that we’re doing over the course of this next month is all to get prepared for the season. We’re putting everything in. Talking about the rules. Talking about situations. We’re going through just about everything that will come up. At least we hope we’re hitting most of those things, and that’s what we’re going to be focused on. We’ve got seniors on this…

Day 1 of Auburn football camp is in the books! Here is what offensive coordinator Eric Kiesau had to say in Thursday’s press conference: ON THE O-LINE: “It’ll be good, it’s gonna be exciting. Probably one of the most important pieces of the offense and the direction we’re going is obviously the guys up front. And the great thing about it is, yes – we had a lot of those guys out during Spring with some minor things, and we wanted to keep them fresh and make sure they were ready for the season. But the positive is, all those…

It’s been a busy few days for Auburn quarterback TJ Finley. Less than 48 hours after signing a NIL deal with Amazon, Finley was arrested on a charge of trying to elude the police. Finley turned himself in to Auburn police late Thursday morning after being informed that a warrant was issued for his arrest. The charge stems from an earlier traffic violation in which Finley was cited for failure to wear a helmet while riding a moped. Finley’s attorney, David Whittelsey, claimed that the charges facing his client were a result of ‘traffic violations and misunderstanding’. Whilst attempting to…

Big Cat Weekend works its magic once again! Fresh off visiting Auburn for the annual Summer recruiting event, 4-star 2023 edge defender Ashley Williams has committed to The Tigers. Williams, the #37 edge in the class, was previously pledged to Nebraska. But the day after BCW the Louisiana native decommitted from the Cornhuskers, citing “recent events and a lapse in communication”. ‘Recent events’ can be assumed to be the big push that Auburn gave Williams this past weekend; Coach Roc Bellantoni once again credited with being able to land the star prospect. On Monday, with teams allowed to officially send…

Football is back! There are less than two days until the first preseason game of the 2022 NFL season begins. The Jaguars face off against the Raiders in the annual Hall Of Fame Game at Canton, Ohio. And on Tuesday, we learned from Head Coach Doug Pederson that a couple of offensive starters will take no part: https://twitter.com/RapSheet/status/1554448352758140930 This news isn’t particularly surprising. Coaches are loath to throw their star players into a meaningless contest. Furthermore, with Etienne looking sharp in his recovery from Lisfranc surgery, being cautious is a smart move. As a result, the former Clemson running back…
