Carolina Panthers linebacker Shaq Thompson was carted off the field in the first quarter of Monday night’s 20-17 loss to the New Orleans Saints after suffering a right ankle injury. Initially, the Panthers announced that Thompson was doubtful to return with a shin injury, but it was changed after halftime that he was out for the rest of the game with an ankle injury. Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle has entered concussion protocol after getting injured in a helmet-to-helmet hit on Sunday in the 24-17 win over the New England Patriots. Miami’s head coach Mike McDaniel announced to reporters during his press conference on Monday. McDaniel also said that Waddle is “already started progressing” through said protocol.
