June was a rough month for the Michigan Wolverines in terms of recruiting. They look to put that month in the rear view mirror and they have taken the first step. Michigan lands 4 star recruit OL Amir Herring, the No. 4 player in the state of Michigan and No. 13 ranked interior lineman overall. They have been recruiting him since 2020 and he finally committed to the school. Let’s learn more about the latest Michigan Wolverines recruit. It’s finally done. Baker Mayfield is out of Cleveland and off to Carolina. After months of speculation on what the Browns would do with their QB they pulled the trigger on a trade. There did not seem to be many suitors for the Cleveland QB but one team that consistently came up was the Seattle Seahawks. Even with all of the rumors flying around the Seahawks never pulled the trigger. This signals to me that they are going to tank for a QB this season. The Seahawks Current QB Room Currently, there will be a QB competition between Geno Smith…

A couple of days ago, I wrote about 2 AFC teams that could go worst to first in 2022. Today I want to do the opposite and give the teams that I think could go from winning the division in 2021 to being at the bottom of the division in 2022.  While I think these are less likely, I could these 2 teams go from first to worst in 2022. Dallas Cowboys The Cowboys didn’t get better this offseason. The two biggest transactions were OT Le’al Collins being released and WR Amari Cooper getting traded.  Collins was a staple of…

The 2022 fantasy football season is right around the corner! The Green Bay Packers have often been a team who has players to target for your fantasy football roster. This year feels a little different. The offense has a different feel than past years. Let’s look at which Green Bay Packers players to target in fantasy football in 2022. Aaron Rodgers The back-to-back MVP Aaron Rodgers is clearly someone to target in fantasy this year. Even without Davante Adams, there is no question that Rodgers can put up numbers that can benefit your team. While there is no question he…

The Green Bay Packers had a long drought of high production in the backfield until Aaron Jones came along. After a solid season in 2018, Jones then produced back to back seasons of 1,000 rushing yards. While it is easy to gawk at his rushing stats, his receiving stats have also been great for a RB. In his career, he has almost 1,500 receiving yards and 12 TD. With the WR group coming in with questions, it would not be surprising if Aaron Jones was more involved in the passing game. Could he eclipse 1,000 receiving yards this season? Jones’…

Unlike so many major sports, the NFL makes it possible to go from bottom dweller of the division to king of the mountain in one season. Free agency, the hard salary cap and giving bad teams an easier schedule are just some of the ways that bad teams can rebound after simply one year. This does not mean that this is an easy task but one that is possible in the league. There are 2 AFC teams that I believe have a real shot at going worst to first in 2022. Baltimore Ravens It’s not hard to find the…

On December 4th 2021, Michigan football raised the Big Ten Championship trophy. After years of disappointment and coming up short, they were on top of the Big Ten and heading to the College Football Playoff. As the 2022 NFL Draft rolled around in April, 2 Wolverines went in the first round Aiden Hutchinson (2nd overall) and Daxton Hill (31st overall). Everything was lining up for a great recruiting summer. However, the Wolverines have stalled out on the recruiting trail. The month of June yielded 1 blue chip commitment. Just one. Clemson and Texas landed 12 blue chippers each. The biggest…

The words “Packers special teams” will make any cheesehead shudder after last season. It is easy to point to the 2021 NFC Divisional playoff loss where the go ahead touchdown was off of a blocked punt but the special teams were a problem all season. Punts were shanked giving opponents better field position than necessary. Punt returns left fans holding their breath as muffed punts were common no matter who was fielding them. The kicking game was also an adventure with missed blocking assignments, bad snaps and Mason Crosby just flat out missing. Who could forget the infamous Cincinnati game…
