The Trojans are coming off of a strong victory against Washington State, as they defeated the Cougars by a score of 30-14. While the offense appeared a little inconsistent at times, the defense is what carried the day for USC. They held Washington State to just 316 total yards of offense and shut out the Cougars in the second half. It was Clemson’s most complete performance as a team, looking polished on both sides of the ball. Clemson and Wake Forest delivered the best game of the weekend on Saturday as the Tigers came out on top 51-45. It took two overtimes to decide a winner as the two teams went into a shootout in the late stages of the game. It did not look like the game was going to play out this way when the Tigers scored touchdowns on their first two possessions and shutting down Wake Forest on theirs.
