The Atlanta Falcons have officially started the Raheem Morris era after the head coach was introduced earlier today.
It was the first chance for the team’s fans to witness their new head coach in action, and they seem to be liking what they’re seeing out of their new head coach so far.
Atlanta Falcons fans love Raheem Morris’ approach
One of the first things fans will inevitably do during the introductory presser of their new head coach is compare them to the previous one. Arthur Smith painted himself as a frustrating figure for many Falcons fans over the past three years, they welcome Morris’ way of handling the press as a breath of fresh air.
“Listening to Arthur Smith’s press conferences for 3 years, felt depressing,” one Atlanta fan said. “Listening to Raheem Morris talk for one hour today, felt so refreshing. The difference in personalities.”
Another fan pointed out that Morris’ energy makes him a convincing cult leader. “I’d drink his Kool-Aid any day, baby.” he said.
He was also candid when asked about what he likes about how the offensive personnel is shaping up:

While it’s interesting that he didn’t include Kyle Pitts in the list, Terry Fontenot has built a team full of effective playmakers who just need a good pas or a solid block to make an immediate impact.
He also emphasized the importance of collaboration within the entire organization. He was quoted during the press conference that he loved how Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay coordinated with GM Les Snead. He adds that he aspires to see that same collaborative nature be nurtured within the Falcons organization.
Fans’ reactions to Morris option to look for new QB
One of the biggest question marks coming into the offseason was the quarterback position. It was clear to everyone in and out of the team that their QBs didn’t play up to standard. Both Morris and Fontenot made it clear that they were going to look for a new QB, be it through free agency, the draft, or the trade market.
“Wide open. You look at free agency, a trade or the draft. We know Des & Taylor did their best but we didn’t hit our marks. We’re going to look at our marks at every position.” Falcons GM Terry Fontenot to us on the QB situation

Desmond Ridder panned during his sophomore campaign. In the 12 NFL games he played this season, he completed 2836 passing yards, 12 passing TDs, and 12 INTs. Taylor Heinicke didn’t fare any better, only notching 890 passing yards, 5 TDs, and 4 INTs in five games.
Atlanta Falcons fans will be hoping that whoever they get as the replacement can take the Falcons back to greater heights next season.
