Arizona Cardinals: There’s no denying that the Dallas Cowboys have one of the most passionate fans in the NFL. The Cowboys faithful travel well too, and their presence against the Arizona Cardinals at the University of Phoenix Stadium was felt throughout the contest. That is until the Cardinals closed in on their 28-16 win on Sunday.
Arizona Cardinals QB Joshua Dobbs Has Special Message for Cowboys Fans
For the most part, Cowboys fans were loud and proud during their Week 3 showdown, but that wasn’t until the Cards were able to close out the game in the fourth quarter. This led to Dallas supporters heading to the exit even before the final whistle. Arizona quarterback Joshua Dobbs enjoyed that moment.
“That was great. It was great to see the Red Sea, too,” Dobbs said, via Jose M. Romero of azcentral. “I know they travel well, but it’s good to hear our fans cheering for us as we got the ‘dub’ to finish it off. So it was good to send them home a little early and enjoy the moment with our guys. So, appreciate you all. We’ll keep going, keep improving.”
Needless to say, the Cowboys faithful did not have a very enjoyable trip back to Dallas following their surprise loss to the Cards.
Josh Dobbs Sounds Off on Special Moment After Cardinals Victory
This was an undeniably huge win for a previously struggling Cardinals side that suffered back-to-back losses in their first two games of the new season. So much so, that general manager Monti Ossenfort decided to meet his players in the tunnel to congratulate them following their massive win.
This was Ossenfort’s first win as Arizona’s head honcho, and Dobbs appreciated the special moment between the players and their GM:
“That was great,” said the quarterback. “Last week he came in, he said we took a step from Week One to Week Two. He said ‘let’s take another step from Week 2 to Week 3,’ which we did. So it was a great, great feeling. As I said last week, we put in a lot of hours, hard work, front office, coaches, players, right, so it feels good when you win. You gotta enjoy them because they’re difficult to come by in the NFL. So, we’ll enjoy it, but we’re right back to work tomorrow.”
Dobbs and the rest of the squad are now hoping that they get another win for Ossenfort on Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers.
