New York Jets star quarterback Aaron Rodgers has been recovering from his torn Achilles since week one of the 2023 season. He has been making huge strides during his recovery, causing fans to speculate whether or not he will be able to play again later this season. Rodgers sent out a strong message on his Instagram showing him throwing the ball around in the Jets pregame against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Aaron Rodgers Injury Recovery
This post looks to be a promising confirmation that the veteran quarterback intends to come back and play later this season. He has been seen walking around without needing crutches and now has been spotted throwing around the football with Jets cornerback Sauce Gardner. Rodgers has hinted at an early comeback since starting his recovery, but now is showing fans and analysts that he is seriously on pace to do so.
The veteran quarterback went down with his gruesome injury in New York’s first game of the season against the Buffalo Bills. Rodgers on the first offensive drive of the season fell awkwardly to the turf causing his Achilles to tear. He was carted to the locker room and left Jets fans in disbelief.
Zach Wilson Holding Down the Fort
Since the injury to Rodgers, quarterback Zach Wilson has been assigned to take the reigns as the starter for New York. He has had an up-and-down season so far amounting to 1,097 passing yards and four touchdowns. He has gotten the Jets to a 3-3 start to the season, which is better than most of us expected from him. He has led the team to wins against great teams as well, beating the Buffalo Bills and handing the Philadelphia Eagles their first loss of the season. If he is unable to continue to make strides in the right direction, do not be surprised if he is benched for Rodgers at the end of the year.
New York has always had their struggles at the quarterback position. The signing of Rodgers was supposed to propel the team to the next level but was cut short after just a few plays. Wilson is still young and has a great opportunity to learn from the veteran, but will most likely be sidelined if Rodgers can make a full recovery in time before the regular season ends.
