Denver Broncos Over/under 10
The Denver Broncos went 7-10 last season, but their Over/under is up to 10 for this season. This is what happens when you make a deal for Russell Wilson. Wilson has a young receiving core in Jerry Jeudy and Courtland Sutton and a better OLine than what he had in Seattle.
The under is the play on the Broncos for this season. The AFC West is absolutely stacked. With Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs https://gridironheroics.com/2022-kansas-city-chiefs-training-camp-everything-you-need-to-know-and-more/, Justin Herbert, and Derek Carr in the division. There is no clearcut leader and I do not see the Broncos taking a 3 win leap.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers Over/under 11.5
The Bucs are coming off a 13-4 season. Choosing the under against the goat Tom Brady does not sound like the best play, but with the other factors involved, it is the play for the Bucs.
The Bucs will be playing a 1st place schedule. Leonard Fournette showed up to camp out of shape. New Head Coach, Tom Brady wasn’t 100% sure if he was going to play and he is somehow playing professional football at 44 years old. Their division appears to still be weak is a fear for this bet, but the Saints always give them problems and the Panthers will be better with Baker Mayfield at Quarterback.
Chicago Bears Over/Under 6.5
The Chicago Bears finished 6-11 last year. There have been a lot of media personalities that are way down on the Chicago Bears. I do not see that. This is not a Super Bowl contender, but there is a reason to believe they will have a better record than last season.
The play is the over on the Chicago Bears. Justin Fields will get a full off-season of working with the 1st team. Mooney coming off a 1000-yard season, the development of Cole Kmet, and 2 strong running backs in David Montgomery and Khalil Herbert.
The defense will have to overcome the loss of Khalil Mack, but he was out over half the year. The secondary will be improved with the help of the NFL draft in selecting CB Kyler Gordon and S Jaquan Brisker.
Washington Commanders Over/under 8
The Washington Commanders finished 7-10 last season. The much-maligned Carson Wentz was brought in to take over QB1 and will be an upgrade over Taylor Heinicke.
The play is the over on the Washington Commanders. The NFC East will be led by the Dallas Cowboys, but I see them getting by the Philadelphia Eagles this season. The Redskins will be led by Chase Young on defense and have the young building blocks on offense with Antonio Gibson and “Scary Terry” Terry McLaurin.
Pittsburgh Steelers Over/under 7
The Steelers are losing their longtime Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. They are coming off a 9-7-1 season. The play on the Steelers will be the over for the upcoming season.
Mike Tomlin has never had a losing season in 15 years. Mitchell Trubisky will get the chance to prove he is starting QB in this league.
The AFC North is always a challenging division. The big intrigue will be how many games Deshaun Watson gets suspended. Can the Bengals avoid the usual fall from the losing team in the Super Bowl? Can Lamar Jackson bounce back from a poor season? Questions to be answered across the AFC North division.
