The College Football Season is getting closer. With 30 days left until BYU kickoffs against South Florida let’s get to know some players on the roster for this upcoming season. This will give fans an idea of where these players have come from and what they could do for the cougars this season. I will do one every day there is a player with that number.
Quenton Rice
Today is Quenton Rice freshman defensive back 6-1 195 lbs. Rice spent last season on the scout team. Before coming to BYU he went to high school in Las Vegas. Only started playing football in his junior year he caught 17 passes for 377 yards and five touchdowns. Like many other current players, he ran track in high school. Rice’s father played for the Cougars in the ’80s he played defensive back. He was also recruited by Colorado, Dixie State, Northern Arizona, and Weber State. His head coach in high school coached at UNLV and Utah before going to coach in Las Vegas. Rice is ready to play year two and learn from the Cougar’s very experienced secondary.
