    2022 Dallas Cowboys Roster Projection

The 2022 NFL season is approaching. Players and coaches will report to Oxnard, California at the end of this month. Fans are welcome to attend all open practices, the first being 11:30AM on July 27th. The last being on Wednesday, August 10th. The Dallas Cowboys have the luxury of returning most of last year’s players. The following 53 man roster is not finalized however this is how we look going into training camp.

    Entering Training Camp 2022

CeeDee Lamb Ready To Be “That Guy” At Receiver

    Offensive Lineup

Quarterbacks: Dak Prescott, Cooper Rush, TBD
Running Backs: Ezekiel Elliott, Tony Pollard, Rico Dowdle
    Fullback: Ryan Nall
Wide Receivers: Ceedee Lamb, Michael Gallup, James Washington, Noah Brown, Jalen Tolbert, Simi Fehoko
Tight Ends: Dalton Schultz, Jake Ferguson, Sean Mckeon
O-Line: Tyron Smith, Tyler Smith, Tyler Biadasz, Zack Martin, Terence Steele, Matt Farniok, Conner McGovern, Josh Ball

Trevon Diggs Eyes “Next Level” After All-Pro Year

    Defensive Lineup

D-Ends: Demarcus Lawrence, Dante Fowler Jr.,  Dorance Armstrong, Chauncey Golston, Sam Williams
D-Tackles: Osa Odighizuwa, Quinton Bohanna, John Ridgeway, Neville Gallimore, Trysten Hill
Linebackers: Backers: Micah Parsons, Leighton Vanderbilt Esch, Jabril Cox, Luke Gifford, Devin Harper
Cornerbacks: Trevon Diggs, Kelvin Joseph, Anthony Brown, Jourdan Lewis, Nashon Wright, DaRon Bland
Safety: Malik Hooker, Jayron Kearse, Markquese Bell, Donovan Wilson

    Special Teams Lineup

    Long Snapper: Jake McQuaide
    Punter: Bryan Anger
    Kickers: Jonathan Garibay, Lirim Hajrullahu

Notable Positions Prior to the Season

The 53 man roster will most likely consist of one kicker and three quarterbacks. The Cowboys recently signed Lirim Hajrullahu to compete with Jonathan Garibay for the kicking job. Only one of these kickers is going to make it to the regular season.

At the moment the third quarterback is yet to be determined. The likely course of action is they will pick up a free agent or acquire a backup with a trade. This won’t be a player expecting to see any playing time. With Dak as the starter and having seen what Rush can do in a pinch, the third quarterback is strictly precautionary.

Dalton Schultz and the Cowboys front office are currently in contact negotiations. Reportedly the two parties are not in agreement. Schultz is the top tight end on the roster meaning this contract could alter the starting lineup. The Cowboys should be looking to make this deal work because Schultz has displayed his worth. He is coming off a notably strong season, comparable to Jason Witten.

Another notable position is the wide receiver group. Ceedee Lamb and Michael Gallup are going to need to stay busy. Amari Cooper was a solid option for Dak and the Cowboys didn’t really replace him. Instead they are banking on the duo of Lamb and Gallup to stay healthy and produce big numbers. The two are certainly capable of that. But nobody can predict when an injury may occur. If that were to happen it would put a strain on the offense.
