The Green Bay Packers are one of the most popular teams in the NFL. Despite the Dallas Cowboys owning the nickname “America’s Team,” it could be argued that the Packers, with a history dating back to even before the inception of the NFL itself, are the true owners of that title. With fans not only spread across the country, but also all over the world, there are few (if any) NFL teams that can match them.

It may not be a surprise, then, when one realizes that there a Packers bars and establishments all over the world. This year, the NFL scheduled the Packers to play against the Philadelphia Eagles in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Many American football fans in that country have chosen Green Bay as their favorite NFL team.

So popular, in fact, are the Packers that they have player events and signings in their own enemies’ territory.

The Packers’ oldest rival, of course, is the Chicago Bears. Their close proximity to Green Bay and each of their long histories have made their rivalry one of the most notable ones in all the sporting world. Since Wisconsin and Illinois share a border, there are also large numbers of fans of each team in both states.

On Racine Avenue in Chicago, there is a Packers bar called Wills Northwoods Inn. Every year, this bar hosts an event called Packerspalooza during the offseason. For the annual celebration of all things Green and Gold in the city of Chicago, the inn hires current Packers players to come and mingle with fans that normally do not get to see them play live and in person.

This year, Wills Northwoods Inn has announced the Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs and pass rusher Rashan Gary will be the two players in attendance at Packerspalooza. Fans should purchase tickets to the event online as it has sold out in each of the past few years.

An $80 ticket will entitle fans to an autograph from each player. For more information on what items can and cannot be signed, fans are encouraged to visit Wills Northwoods Inn’s website.

Romeo Doubs is entering his third season in the NFL following a superb second season with the Packers in 2023. Last season, Doubs played in all 17 games, starting 16 of them. He recorded 59 receptions for 687 yards and a team-high eight touchdown receptions.

In the Packers’ two playoff games this past year, Doubs had 10 receptions for 234 yards and a touchdown. His most memorable performance was his six-catch 151-yard domination of the Cowboys’ secondary in the wild card round.

Rashan Gary is entering his sixth season with the Packers after signing a massive four-year $107.5 million contract extension  with the team. 2023 was Gary’s first season returning from a torn ACL that he suffered midway through the season in 2022.

In 17 games last season, Gary had 9.0 sacks 44 tackles. He also had one of the best win percentages in the NFL among pass rushers who played 80% of their team’s snaps (16.0%, tied for 14th).
