Former Miami Dolphins Center Conner Williams is expected to sign with either a new team before the start of training camp. Williams had a season-ending ACL injury back in December 2023.
Williams is considered one of the top centers in the league. He only allowed one sack in 497 snaps. Williams spent four seasons with the Cowboys at guard and with the Miami Dolphins at center for the past two seasons. The Dolphins do have $16 million in cap space which benefits the Dolphins they do not have to spend a ton of money to offer Williams a new contract. But the potential team landing spots he can go to is all up to him on where he decides to sign with to benefit him after his season-ending injury.

Former Miami Dolphins and Dallas Cowboy’s Center and Guard will Land?
Connor Williams feels confident he will be ready for Week 1 of the NFL season. The question remains where will he choose to go? Williams was an unrestricted free agent when the Dolphins signed him. His knee injury occurred on Monday Night Football against the Tennessee Titans and as a result, there was no extension for him in Miami.
However, due to his injury, Williams isn’t going to command a lot of money from any team or he would have entered the free agency market. But the Dolphins would certainly benefit from him coming back as their Center.
The potential landing spots can be not just the Dolphins and Cowboys but also the Jets, Bears, Eagles, Chargers, and Giants.
The Jets can use him to protect their veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers suffered a season-ending Achilles injury in the first game of the season.
The Eagles lost their center Jason Kelce due to retirement and can use Williams.
The Chargers have a solid offensive line but with a veteran center, it can still help the Chargers and Justin Herbert.
The Giants are by far the worst offensive line in the NFL. They gave up 85 sacks they can definitely benefit from Williams who only gave up one sack out of 497 snaps.
The Bears use the number 1 pick to draft Caleb Williams. By adding a veteran center, it can benefit the Bears and add depth and versatility.
Center and Guard Connor Williams will Start Week 1 of the 2024 NFL Season with a New Team
It is always an uneasy feeling for teams to sign players that have had season-ending injuries but per William’s agent, he has gone through extensive rehab with his ACL injury and he is confident he will be ready for Week 1 of the NFL season. Training camp starts in July.
