The NFL is all about parity and competition. The league always tries to make the best teams have tougher scheduling and give the worst teams a break. With the schedule being revealed for the 2024 season NFL analytics expert Warren Sharp found the five teams that will have the easiest season for 2024 based on the projected win totals from Vegas oddsmakers.
While the win totals are all prediction based, Sharp also takes into consideration the records from the previous season as well to take into account which teams will have the easiest schedule in 2024.
5 NFL Teams With Easiest Road In 2024
According to Sharp, those teams are:
“Of the 15 teams predicted to have the easiest 2023 schedules, 11 finished with winning records (Saints, Colts, Texans, Lions, Jaguars, Steelers, Packers, Buccaneers, 49ers, Browns, and Bengals).”
Conversely, “Of the 15 teams predicted to have the hardest 2023 schedules, only 5 finished with a winning record (Bills, Chiefs, Dolphins, Cowboys, and Vikings).”
The Atlanta Falcons jump off this list as they are predicted to have the easiest schedule of the entire league. With Kirk Cousins at the helm, this team can not only make the playoffs, but even a deep playoff run.
Which New NFL Team Will Make The Playoffs?
All of these teams with the easiest schedules for 2024 did not make the post season this previous season, but at least one of these teams should sneak in this year.
Between Aaron Rodgers and the Jets and Jim Harbugh’s first year at head coach for the Chargers, either of those teams would be a great bet to make the post season. The Atlanta Falcons however, are the best bet for a new team to get into the post season this year.
They do not just have the easiest schedule for this year, but they arguably are in the worst division in football. This team has all the tools on offense and defense to be a great team in the league with the addition of Cousins. If he is healthy, this steam may be very scary come 2024. While many of the other teams on this list can definitely make the playoffs, the Falcons may be thinking about even more than that.
