Ohio State Buckeyes freshman wide receiver Jeremiah Smith is one of the most polarizing names in all of college football this season. Smith has a ton of talent and has been very good during his freshman season with Ohio State.
He has caught 57 passes for 934 yards receiving and 10 touchdowns, along with averaging 16.4 yards per reception. Smith has also rushed for 47 yards on four carries and one touchdown, along with averaging 11.8 yards per carry. There have been times this season when Smith has not received the football enough in games. Against the Michigan Wolverines, he caught five passes for 35 yards receiving and one touchdown, along with averaging 7.0 yards per reception.
Ohio State Buckeyes Wide Receiver Jeremiah Smith Posts Cryptic Tweet
With the Buckeyes losing to the Michigan Wolverines 13-10 on Saturday, it seems as if everything is spiraling out of control in Columbus, Ohio. A lot of college football fans are calling for Ryan Day to be fired and there are a lot of other dominoes that could potentially fall.
On Monday, this is what Jeremiah Smith posted on his Twitter account:
When you value and respect something, you give everything for it.

This is very interesting timing from the star freshman wide receiver on the Buckeyes. Some fans are speculating that bigger things could be happening for him at the end of the 2024 college football season.

Dawg if they don’t target you 6+ times in the next game AT LEAST. I don’t blame ya if you transfer.

Maybe the offensive coaches should head this quote. Chip was horrible

There is a lot of blame to go around with the offensive issues for the Ohio State Buckeyes this season. Jeremiah Smith no doubt has not received enough touches. He is the best player on this offense and the problem starts with head coach Ryan Day and offensive coordinator Chip Kelly.
If Smith were to leave Ohio State after this season, there is no question that several college football teams will be lining up for his services. Jeremiah Smith is from Miami Gardens, Florida, and two potential teams to watch for would be the Florida Gators and the Miami Hurricanes. Letting Jeremiah Smith out the door would be the biggest blunder in Buckeyes history. Ryan Day and Chip Kelly should be shown the door as well if Smith transfers to another college.
