“Billy Will Flip Mike Norvell Next” – Florida Gators Continue Massive Recruiting Run With Big 4-Star RB Flip

The Florida Gators have announced another flip for the 2025 football recruiting class coming over from the Florida State Seminoles.

Byron Louis, a four-star running back in the 2025 class, has announced his commitment flip from the Seminoles to the Gators. The running back announced his commitment days after the Florida Gators defeated the Ole Miss Rebels to extend their winning streak. Louis previously committed to Florida State before the unfortunate downfall of the season began to truly unravel.

The talented four-star running back had originally chosen between Florida, Florida State, and Wisconsin for his first commitment. Louis later changed his commitment to Florida after spending time with the Gators staff and watching the success of the program unfold. With the commitment from Louis, the majority of the 2205 class for the Florida Gators has now held a prior commitment to another program.

Louis joins Tramell Jones Jr and Ty Jackson as the two major flips with both also being four-star recruits. Jackson, an accomplished linebacker, is arguably a five-star recruit at this point as the change in the rating for the tackling machine is expected to come. Jones Jr, on the other hand, was also a Seminoles commitment for a long period of time before flipping to the nearby Gators.

Stephon Shivers, Muizz Tounkara, and Jahari Medlock all also flipped to the Florida Gators within the last week.

Louis is the second running back commitment in the 2025 recruiting class for the Gators with fellow four-star Waltez Clark committed. Clark is someone Louis is very familiar with, having only been a few hours apart from each other and often at the same elite camps throughout high school. The two will be fighting for playing time moving forward as Clark seems very sturdy in his commitment to the Gators at the moment.

Following the announcement of the flip, the Florida Gators fans were quick to react and provide plenty of criticism towards the Florida State Seminoles. The Seminoles 2025 class has been decimated by both the Gators and other programs as well, including a few athlete who have completely re-opened their recruitments.
