QB Will Rogers Chooses The Washington Huskies
In his four years at Mississippi State, he has thrown for more than 12,000 yards and 94 touchdowns. Injuries and a scheme change in 2023 depleted his numbers but he can still put up big numbers. As Michael Penix Jr. moves to the NFL, the Huskies are looking to fill the position. It looks like Rogers will be the guy for next year. Washington definitely needed to figure out something as they are moving to one of the premier conferences in college football in 2024, the Big Ten.
2024 Outlook
The move to the Big Ten means more big matchups. However, the Pac-12 was full of good teams this year and the Huskies are no stranger to ranked matchups. They will need to use that experience next year as games against Michigan, USC, Penn State, and Oregon are all on the schedule for 2024. Travel will also become a new challenge as Washington will have to travel cross-country to play some of these games.
The Washington Huskies are focused on this year’s College Football Playoff but getting Rogers out of the transfer portal is a huge win. The 2024 season will have no shortage of intrigue as the landscape changes with conference realignment.
