This week’s injury report features an extremely long list of both new and continued injuries. There’s more on the line now than ever, both for the NFL playoffs and fantasy playoffs. Make sure to pay close attention and set your lineups accordingly. Click here for part one.
Seahawks @ Titans Injury Report
Seattle Seahawks
Jamal Adams: Seattle will be missing their starting free safety while he continues to nurse a knee injury. It’s almost a welcome loss for Seattle, as Julian Love has played extremely well in his absence. With Love still in the starting lineup, expect better downfield coverage on the Titans’ receivers.
Tennessee Titans
Jeffrey Simmons: A knee injury of his own will keep the Titans’ best defensive lineman sidelined. This creates a huge advantage for Seattle, who will be able to protect Geno Smith much better than before. Expect Smith to have plenty of time against the 23rd-best pass rush that’s missing their best player.
K’Von Wallace: Tennessee will be without their starting free safety due to a quad injury. He hasn’t been playing that well. Backup Terrell Edmunds is arguably better than he is. Wallace’s absence won’t make a huge difference.
Jack Gibbens: The Titans will be missing one of their most productive linebackers in Gibbens, who’s racked up 56 tackles thus far. With Garret Wallow starting instead, look for the Titans’ to be slightly worse at tackling Seattle’s running backs.
Sean Murphy-Bunting: A hip injury will withhold the Titans’ best cornerback from playing. This presents a massive advantage for Seattle’s wide receivers, as they already outmatched Seattle’s corners without any injuries. Expect an amazing day from D.K. Metcalf, who will be facing the inexperienced Eric Garror.
Jaguars @ Buccaneers Injury Report
Jacksonville Jaguars
Trevor Lawrence: While not officially ruled out, he’s questionable to play due to an ankle injury and a concussion. If the Jags’ starting quarterback can’t go, it’ll be C.J. Beathard. Since they’ll be going against the 23rd-best rush defense, expect a run-based game plan whether Lawrence plays or doesn’t. Update: Lawrence will start.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
No notable injuries.
Cowboys @ Dolphins Injury Report
Dallas Cowboys
Tyron Smith: A back injury has the Cowboys’ left tackle listed as doubtful. If he isn’t able to play, Tyler Smith would slide to his position while Chuma Edoga would start at left guard. This would make the Cowboys’ offensive line decently worse, especially pass-blocking. If Smith can’t go, expect increased interior pressure on Dak Prescott.
Jonathan Hankins: Knee and ankle injuries will ensure the Cowboys’ nose tackle doesn’t play this week. Somehow he’s been terrible at stopping the run while his backup, first-round pick Mazi Smith is even worse. With Smith starting, expect the Cowboys to get exposed when trying to stop the run.
Miami Dolphins
Robert Hunt: Hunt, Miami’s starting right guard will miss another week due to a hamstring injury. This will make Robert Jones slide to the right guard while Lester Cotton takes over at the left guard spot. Cotton is by far the weak point in Miami’s offensive line. Expect increased interior pressure on Tua Tagovailoa as well.
Cardinals @ Bears Injury Report
Arizona Cardinals
Marquise Brown: A heel injury will keep Arizona’s best receiver sidelined this week. It’s a big loss for a Cardinals team that’s facing one of the better defenses in the league as of late. With Brown out, expect a larger target share for Trey McBride, Michael Wilson and Rondale Moore.
Garrett Williams: Arizona will also be without their No. 2 outside cornerback Williams, who’s recovering from a knee injury. Kei’Trel Clark will step in for him to cover Darnell Mooney. Neither have had good seasons. Don’t be surprised if Mooney has a decent game this week.
Chicago Bears
Teven Jenkins: A concussion will keep Chicago’s starting left guard sidelined. He’s become one of the best power-blocking guards in the league, highlighted by his performances in the last few weeks. Starting in his place will be Cody Whitehair, who’s had the worst season of his career. With Whitehair back in the lineup, expect much worse run and pass blocking from Chicago’s interior offensive line.
Patriots @ Broncos Injury Report
New England Patriots
Rhamondre Stevenson: An ankle injury will again keep Stevenson out. Ezekial Elliott should enjoy a solid week, facing the worst run defense statistically, in the entire league. He should average around 3.5-4 yards per run on around 16-20 carries.
Juju Smith-Schuster: After coming off one of the better games of his season, Smith-Schuster will be inactive this week due to an ankle injury. Expect a larger target share for De’Mario Davis, Hunter Henry and Mike Gesicki.
Jabrill Peppers: A hamstring injury will sideline one of New England’s best defensive players. With Jalen Mills starting instead, look for a lack of tackling to be a huge issue for New England. It should be a step back for what’s been one of the better defenses in the league as of late.
Denver Broncos
Nik Bonnito: Denver will be without one of their better pass rushers in Bonnito. Jonathan Cooper will likely start in his place. New England has had one of the better pass-blocking offensive lines and should be able to hold up decently well against Denver. Still, expect the Broncos to get a fair amount of pressure on Bailey Zappe.
