Washington Commanders running back Brian Robinson had a very eventful rookie season. After being shot in the leg in the offseason, he missed the first part of the season. Amazingly, he returned and rushed for 797 yards and two touchdowns. However, Robinson feels like this just scratched the surface. The running back is ready to build off of his rookie season.
Washington Commanders Brian Robinson Ready For Year Two
Robinson is feeling better this season. I can imagine that recovering from getting shot is a difficult road and Robinson referenced this in a recent interview.
“People should expect a lot of great things to come compared to the things I did limping around all last year. I feel night and day from last year. I feel more like myself every day.”
Opposing defenses may want to watch out. If he had almost 800 yards on a bum leg, imagine what he can do when he is feeling fully healthy.
The Commanders Are An Enigma This Year
There are parts of this Commanders team that are elite. The skill position players have a track record of production. Terry McLaurin is one of the most underrated receivers in the game. The defense is hoping a healthy Chase Young can wreak havoc on opposing offensive lines. The real question is Sam Howell. If he can even be a decent quarterback, this team might surprise some people. The other issue for the Commanders is they play in the toughest division in the NFC. It will be hard to gather wins when they have to play the Eagles and Cowboys twice.
Brian Robinson is ready to show the Washington Commanders what he can do. With all the discourse around running backs, this is an exciting storyline to watch for in 2023.
