Another injury hit the Vikings training camp as Dalvin Cook left practice with an injury to his left hand. Cook was escorted off the practice field by a medical trainer. Medical staff were attending to Cook’s left hand, before leaving practice. Dalvin Cook did return to practice but did not have his helmet and his left ring finger was wrapped. The injury at the moment doesn’t appear to be too serious as it looks just to be a finger injury at the moment.
Dalvin Cook was just escorted off the field during individual drills. His left hand was being held gingerly by a trainer walking alongside.

Injury History
Cook has had a lot of injuries in his career with the Vikings. It started his rookie season when in October Cook tore his ACL. Coming off of his ACL tear in 2017, Dalvin Cook had a hamstring sprain that caused him to miss five games during the 2018 season. In 2019, he suffered a A/C shoulder joint sprain in week 15 in which he missed two games. In 2020, Cook only missed one game with a Grade 2 groin strain. Cook had three injuries throughout the 2021 season. The first was an ankle sprain in which he missed two games. The next was a shoulder dislocation and a shoulder labrum tear that he suffered in week 12. He did not miss a game for these two injuries.
Hopefully for Viking fans this isn’t a serious injury to Cook. He has a long line of injuries in his career, but as of the moment it doesn’t look too serious. Cook is one of the best running backs in the league and is expected to have a big role in the new offense under new head coach Kevin O’Connell. Let’s hope that the injury doesn’t keep him sidelined too long and that we can see him play week one against the Packers.
