We are inching closer to the UFL playoffs, and teams are looking to build some momentum to end the UFL regular season. With two weeks of play left the playoffs are set in stone as all four teams have clinched a playoff birth. From the XFL conference, the St. Louis Battlehawks and San Antonio Brahmas are in. From the USFL Conference the Birmingham Stallions, and Michigan Panthers have clinched. In week 9 we have a matchup that could very well be a UFL championship preview.

The first matchup of the weekend will see the (6-2) St. Louis Battlehawks travel to Choctaw Stadium in Arlington, Texas, to take on the (1-7) Arlington Renegades, at Noon EST on Saturday.
The Battlehawks enter this game as three-point favorites in a game that could become a track meet, as this is a matchup that features the two leading passers in the UFL, AJ McCarron (Battlehawks), and Luis Perez (Renegades).
While we know both offenses can move the ball, one of the key matchups to watch will be the St. Louis Battlehawks rushing attack vs the Renegades rush defense. According to PFF, the Battlehawks have a league-high 90.2 rushing grade, while the Renegades have a poor 61.4 graded rushing defense. The Battlehawks have a solid one-two punch behind Jacob Saylors and Mataeo Durant, that should be leaned on in this matchup.
The Battlehawks will look to pound the rock and keep that Renegades offense off the field. Given the Battlehawks can do that, they should cover the three-point spread on the road.
UFL Week 9: Birmingham Stallions @ San Antonio Brahmas
Game Lines: Stallions -8.5; Total: 44

The second matchup of the Saturday slate has the (8-0) Birmingham Stallions traveling to the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas, to face off against the (6-2) San Antonio Brahmas, in what could be a UFL Championship Preview, at 3:00 pm EST.
The Birmingham Stallions look to keep their winning streak alive in what has been a dominating season. The Sportsbooks expect them to do so as they are a hefty 8.5-point favorite on the road.
For Birmingham, their elite defense and suffocating pass rush have been the focal point on this winning streak. PFF has the Stallions graded as the league’s best defense this season at an elite 88.9 grade. The Stallions’ ability to get early leads which then allow their pass rush to go to work with an increase in passing situations for the opposing team has been their formula.
The Stallions’ defense will make it hard for the Brahmas to put up points in what should be a low-scoring Stallions victory.
A two-leg parlay of the St Louis Battlehawks and Birmingham Stallions moneyline gives odds of +103. (Meaning a $100 bettor would win $103).
All odds via the Caesars Sportsbook.
