The Wide receiver market has exploded across the NFL this offseason, and Tyreek Hill may be the next big beneficiary.
Amon-Ra St. Brown briefly became the highest-paid wide receiver before being unseated by A.J. Brown, meanwhile, Jaylen Waddle and DeVonta Smith each signed mega-extensions this offseason, before Justin Jefferson put pen to paper on a contract that turns the economics of the receiver position on its ear.
Jefferson’s deal is a four-year pact worth $140 million and includes $110 million guaranteed.
The happiest people in the league for Jefferson’s sudden financial windfall, outside of the Minnesota metro, might be Cowboys star CeeDee Lamb and San Francisco 49ers receiver Brandon Aiyuk, who both are seeking new deals this offseason.
But, Miami Dolphins speedster Tyreek Hill’s contract has a potential out in 2025 which could open his financial floodgates, given current market conditions at receiver.

Hill has built a strong reputation as one of the most dangerous vertical threats in the sport.
It hasn’t mattered whether the 30-year-old has been on the receiving end of passes from Patrick Mahomes or Tua Tagovailoa, Hill is the type of player who can alter the course of a game in an instant.
With a potential payday looming in the coming months ahead, Hill weighed in on the contracts Waddle, Jefferson, and others have signed this offseason.
“I’m very excited to just be a part of the old wave,” Hill told NFL reporter Aaron Wilson. “Which was $30 million, and Justin Jefferson came and surpassed that. I’m very proud of those guys, happy for, obviously my teammate Waddle, getting his new deal.
“So, for guys like me, that’s great. I’m 30 years old, also looking for a new deal. Very excited to see where I fit into that category. It’s amazing.”
Last season, Hill averaged 15.1 yards per reception while pulling down 119 passes for 1,799 yards and 13 touchdowns, mounting a legitimate charge at 2,000 receiving yards.
If the contracts signed this offseason by receivers across the league are any indication, there’s a real chance Hill might surpass them when his next deal comes to pass.
