The 2024 NFL Draft is now just a week away. This is my final ranking of the top 60 prospects in this year’s class. Make sure to check out part one of my top 60 rankings here.
2024 NFL Draft Prospects 16-30
16. Troy Fautanu (Washington) OT
Once again, another tackle in the top 20 prospects. Fautanu is one of the most athletic tackles in this incredible class. Most teams think that Fautanu will play guard in the NFL, but there is a chance he could stick at tackle.
17. Dallas Turner (Alabama) EDGE
Turner is a different kind of player than the other two EDGE players in front of him. Turner is shorter and lighter than most of the other EDGE prospects in this class. He uses his long arms to get past the offensive line and sack the quarterback.
18. Cooper DeJean (Iowa) CB
Cooper DeJean has been a very polarizing player in this year’s NFL draft process. Some teams think he will play corner and others think he should play safety. No matter what position DeJean plays he is going to be a huge playmaker in an NFL defense.
19. Byron Murphy (Texas) DT
Similar to Newton, Murphy is an undersized defensive lineman. Murphy is more of a run stuffer than a pass rusher that takes on double teams. Murphy is known for his balance and should be a day-one starter for an NFL team.
20. Brian Thomas Jr (LSU) WR
Brian Thomas is the fourth receiver on this list but is one of the most athletic players in the entire NFL draft. Thomas is a DK Metcalf kind of receiver who will be a huge threat in any NFL offense.
21. Michael Penix Jr (Washington) QB
Similar to Latu, Penix is one of the best players at his position in the NFL draft. Penix’s injury history is likely to push him into the second round, but he is still an incredible quarterback who deserves to be a first-round pick.
22. Terrion Arnold (Alabama) CB
Terrion Arnold seems like one of the safest picks in this year’s NFL draft. Arnold is one of the best corners in this year’s draft and thrives in coverage. He lacks top-end speed which pushes him down the list.
23. Amarius Mims (Georgia) OT
Amarius Mims is the opposite of Terrion Arnild. Mims is one of the riskiest picks in the 2024 NFL draft. When Mims was on the field, he was one of the best tackles in the NCAA. He has little starting experience and an injury history that makes him regarded as a boom-or-bust pick.
24. Adonai Mitchell (Texas) WR
Adonai Mitchell is one of my favorite prospects in this year’s NFL draft. Mitchell seems to glide across the football field and defy the laws of gravity to get to the football. The knock on Mitchell is his lack of effort and taking plays off.
25. Nate Wiggins (Clemson) CB
Nate Wiggins could easily be the best corner from this year’s NFL draft in five years. The only reason he is at number 25 on the list is because of his size and lack of help in the run game.
26. Graham Barton (Duke) G
Graham Barton is one of the most versatile offensive linemen in this draft class. Barton played tackle and center during his colligate career at Duke. He is expected to play guard in the NFL but should be able to play all across the offensive line.
27. JJ McCarthy (Michigan) QB
A week away from the NFL draft it seems that McCarthy is a lock to be a top-10 pick. This is mainly due to his ability to win and consistency. McCarthy lands at number 27 mainly due to how much of a fan I am of Penix along with the system he played in at Michigan.
28. Jackson Powers-Johnson (Oregon) C
Powers-Johnson is regarded as the best center in this year’s class and should be a first-round pick. Johnson showed his strength and athleticism at the NFL combine and should be a day-one starter for whatever team drafts him.
29. Tyler Guyton (Oklahoma) OT
The final tackle prospect who is projected to go in the first round of the NFL draft is Tyler Guyton. Guyton is known for his athleticism but has little starting experience which lands him at number 29 on this list.
30. Kool-Aid McKinstry (Alabama) CB
Lots of NFL teams wrote off Kool-Aid after his tough season in 2023. He seemed to take reps off and didn’t look like a team player. Either way, Kool-Aid is still a great corner that should still be a first-round pick.
