Many big contracts were handed out this off-season to the running back position, like Derrick Henry to Baltimore, Josh Jacobs to the Packers, and Saquan Barkley to the Philadelphia Eagles.

5. James Connor (Arizona Cardinals)
James Connor has a $8,930,000 cap hit for the 2024 season with the Arizona Cardinals.
James Conner signed a three-year, $21 million contract with the Cardinals. Conner received $13.5 million in guaranteed salary including a $6 million signing bonus. Conner’s 2022 and 2023 base salaries were fully guaranteed. He will earn $1.5 million as a roster bonus on the fifth day of the 2024 league year. There are annual per-game bonuses.
4. Jonathan Taylor (Indianapolis Colts)
Jonathan Taylor is making $10,666,000 for the 2024 NFL Season.
The Colts and Taylor agreed to terms on a three-year, $42 million contract extension that includes $26.5 million guaranteed during the 2023 season.
3. Christian McCaffrey (San Francisco 49ers)
Christian McCaffrey is making $14,144,000 for the 2024 Season.
In 2020, McCaffrey signed a four-year, $64 million contract with the Carolina Panthers which included a $21.5 million signing bonus, $38 million guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $16 million.
2. Nick Chubb (Cleveland Browns)
Chubb is entering the final season of his three-year, $36.6 million contract signed in July 2021. He has an $11.8 million base salary and a $15.8 million cap hit in 2024
Chubb is coming off a serious knee injury, suffered in Week 2 vs the Pittsburgh Steelers.
“Browns running back Nick Chubb underwent his scheduled second surgery today to repair the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) as part of his knee injury sustained in the September game against the Steelers in Pittsburgh,” the team’s statement reads. “Team Head Physician James Voos, MD, performed the surgery at University Hospitals Drusinsky Sports Medicine Institute. Dr. Voos considered today’s surgery successful and added that Nick’s recovery has progressed very well following his first surgery in late September. As previously announced, the estimated recovery time from these surgeries indicates that Nick would be able to return to play during the 2024 season.”

Alvin Kamara has a $18,553,824 cap hit for the 2024 Season.
Alvin Kamara got a five-year, $75 million deal in 2020 that contained $17.83 million in guaranteed money.
