Superbowl Champions, the Kansas City Chiefs, stand among the most elite in the NFL. With two consecutive Superbowl wins, it is hard to imagine another team coming in to take the title of Superbowl champs but there are a handful that have a fair chance to make their way to the top.

This season, the Chiefs will attempt what has never been done before: a three-peat. If the Chiefs can accomplish remaining Superbowl champions for a third year, they will make history.
While the Chiefs seem to stand alone in a separate top tier, there are at least three teams that have a legitimate chance at taking the title as Super Bowl champions.
The first team to be mentioned may be an obvious one, the San Francisco 49ers. The 49ers remain in the shadow of the Chiefs after losing to them in the Super Bowl last year. The 49ers have most of their core intact from the team that ended up losing that Super Bowl. With Brock Purdy transforming into MVP candidate material, he should be at the top of his game with his elite quarterback skills.

Between last year’s team remaining united, an outstanding quarterback in his prime, and a full defense, the Niners have the upper hand among the other legitimate Super Bowl contenders. They have the motivation to win by using the strength and power they did not have last year. If the 49ers come out swinging from the get-go, we are in for a good season.
Next up of the top three teams most likely to make it to the Superbowl and replace the Chiefs as Super Bowl champions is the Baltimore Ravens.
The offseason was not great for the Ravens. With losing depth of talent, their offensive line washed-out, and the loss of Patrick Queen, the Ravens’ winning outlook is not as high. The return of Keaton Mitchell and the addition of Derrick Henry provide the Ravens with a small sense of hope. With a solid offense including Mark Andrews, Zay Flowers, and of course the reigning MVP Lamar Jackson, the Ravens should be able to stay afloat to carry them to replace the current Super Bowl champions.
An advantage the Baltimore Ravens have is the group of defensive players at their disposal; Roquan Smith and Kyle Hamilton, just to name a couple. Now that Michael Pierce can team up with Justin Madubuike, their defensive front is much more sturdy.

The third team to have a chance at taking the Super Bowl Champions title is the Detroit Lions.
Last season, Jared Goff demonstrated that he can be winning material. Since the Lions are talented with most positions, similar to the characteristics of the Niners, they have the ability to rely on strong supporting players to hold it down for the team.

While there currently aren’t any completely weak positions in Detroit, they could use more “front-seven defender…to level up” and could implement a stronger special teams to improve their weaker spots. But overall, the Lions still have acquired and retained decent talent and depth that will only benefit them this season.
What gives the Lions the extra edge is their solid offensive line. Their offensive lion may be one of the NFL’sb best. When it comes to offense reliability, there really is no question.
