Tom Brady, retired NFL legend, recently shared an emotional tribute to his dad, Tom Brady Sr. ,for Father’s Day. Instead of making up a new post, Brady shared a throwback video from an interview of his back in 2017 when a fan asked him who his hero was. The former New England Patriots starting quarterback answered that his dad is indeed his hero and also teared up while explaining why.
Brady has always given major credit to his parents, especially the role that his father played in shaping him up to be the sports legend he is today. Tom Brady Sr. made a living through his own insurance firm, known as Thomas Brady & Associates.
“Who’s my hero? That’s a great question. Well, I think my dad is my hero because he’s someone I look up to every day… my dad.” Tom Brady answers the fan in the throwback video he shared on his Instagram account.
“Meant it then and mean it more than ever today. HFD dad, ILYSM.” Tom Brady captioned his Instagram post with the throwback video for Father’s Day 2025 along with three heart emojis.

Tom Brady has been pretty vocal on how much both his parents supported him, even at the early part of his career before he could make it to the NFL. A month or so back, Brady revealed that when his name was not called out in the first few rounds of the NFL draft, his parents still kept his spirits up and even took him for a walk around the block.

Tom Brady’s Statue To Be Unveiled At Gillette Stadium
While Tom Brady may be done with the New England Patriots and the NFL altogether, it certainly does not seem like the Patriots are done with him. In August this year, Gillette Stadium, home of the Patriots, will unveil a bronze statue of their legendary hero for his massive contribution to the team during his time with them.

Brady won not one or two but six Super Bowl trophies with the New England Patriots. While the five-time Super Bowl MVP had a pretty great time with the team, things went sour between himself and then head coach, Bill Belichick, which eventually led Brady to leave the team and join the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Tom Brady then went on to win one Super Bowl with the Buccaneers in his two seasons with them.
