Texas Longhorns Land WR Silas Bolden
Bolden is the fifth player to commit to the Longhorns from the transfer portal. He was a do-it-all player for Oregon State. He caught 54 catches for 746 yards and five receiving touchdowns while adding a couple of rushing touchdowns and a punt return for a touchdown in 2023. In his three years with the Beavers, he had 80 catches for 1,076 yards and four touchdowns. His commitment comes two days after former Alabama receiver Isaiah Bolden committed to the program. Texas is putting together an elite offense.
2024 Outlook
All of these wide receivers will have Quinn Ewers throwing them the ball. Texas has the potential to have one of the best offenses in the country. Anytime a program can return their starter from last year, it is a huge boost. The Longhorns will need to be firing on all cylinders if they are going to win the SEC. Winning the Big 12 is one thing, but getting through the SEC conference’s gauntlet is another. The program will have to show that last year was not a one-hit-wonder season but a sign of things to come.
The Texas Longhorns continue to add talent. They are finally back to being a premier location for the premier talent in college football.
