The Texas Longhorns, long considered one of the nation’s most prestigious college football programs, will take their talents to the hyper-competitive SEC next fall. With the college football landscape shifting towards an unprecedented time of player compensation through name, image, and likeness (NIL), fewer transfer portal rules, and massive TV deals, Texas has positioned itself to become a hub for some of the best talent in the south.
An accurate indicator of how appealing the Longhorns football program is becoming for NIL suitors can be seen through one of their star player’s most recent signings. According to Front Office Sports, quarterback Quinn Ewers has inked an NIL deal with a private jet company and joins Ole Miss Rebels quarterback Jaxson Dart at Nicholas Air.
Texas Longhorns QB Quinn Ewers: Joins Nicholas Air Via NIL

Adding to his list of NIL deals, Texas Longhorns quarterback Quinn Ewers has struck another lucrative agreement this week, this time with Nicholas Air. As part of the deal, he will have access to flight hours on a private jet for various purposes, including travel, training, and philanthropy. Nicholas Air celebrated their partnership with Ewers on Instagram, saying, “More Texas touchdowns coming soon. Welcome to the family, (Quinn Ewers).”
NJ Correnti, Founder and CEO of Nicholas Air, also released a statement, saying, “We are really excited to welcome Quinn to the Nicholas Air family. He has exceptional talent and is the type of leader and player that makes college football exciting. We look forward to seeing Quinn excel on the field and seeing him onboard with Nicholas Air.”
According to Business Wire, Nicholas Air “has been the home of the Most Refined Set of Private Flyers, as well as holding official partnerships with trusted organizations such as Safari Club International, the South Carolina Gamecocks, the Ole Miss Rebels, and the Clemson Tigers.”
Quinn Ewers: Stellar 2023 Season

Ewers will look to build on a fantastic 2023 season this fall. The former five-star recruit threw for 3,479 yards and 22 touchdowns against six interceptions. Texas posted a one-loss regular season, earning a spot in the College Football Playoff. However, they fell to the Washington Huskies in the semi-finals, with Ewers going 24-of-43 for 318 yards and a score. He also ran eight times for 54 yards. His best performance came against Oklahoma State in early December, completing 76% of his passes for 452 yards and four touchdowns.
Ewers started his college career at Ohio State, where he spent one season before darting for Texas in 2022. He played well during his first year with the Longhorns, accumulating 2,177 passing yards, 15 touchdowns, and six interceptions. Despite a shift in conference, he remains one of the favorites to win the Heisman Trophy next season.
