It has not been a great couple of weeks for the Texas A&M Aggies. Players have been leaving in droves and it seems like every day a former five-star recruit is entering the transfer portal. However, the team finally got some good news today. Former Kansas State cornerback Will Lee announced his commitment to the Aggies in 2024.

Texas A&M Lands CB Will Lee Through The Transfer Portal
In 11 games last season, Lee totaled 42 tackles, 1.5 tackles for a loss, two interceptions, six pass breakups, one forced fumble, and a fumble recovery. He spent most of his time on the outside but did play some nickel as well. Lee goes to College Station with two years of eligibility left. He had this to say in a statement on social media.
“Really what led me to commit to A&M was the coaching staff being so genuine and the hospitality of the football staff the whole week. My relationship with Coach Elko and Coach Ish was amazing. It felt like being at a second home for me truly, also it’s only an hour away from family so that played a huge part in my decision also.”
Finally Some Good News
Lee was highly recruited out of the transfer portal. He had offers from Florida, LSU, USC, Auburn, Ole Miss, Arkansas, South Carolina, Michigan State, Louisville, and many others. He chose the Aggies over all of them. This is a massive get for the program. If nothing else, it is some positive news for the fan base rather than the news that some talented player is leaving.
Hopefully, this is the beginning of a string of good news for the Texas A&M program. They are going through what is normal for a coaching change but could use some talent coming in.
