“The Best Bet In This Draft”: Tennessee Titans Swing For Fences In Latest 2025 NFL Mock Draft

The Tennessee Titans are holding all of the cards in the 2025 NFL Draft. Tennessee will have the number one pick in the 2025 NFL Draft after finishing with a 3-14 record a season ago.

There is a chance that the Titans could very well sell the number one pick and move down for more draft picks. Tennessee is not close to being a contender next season and they need to build for the long haul. If the Tennessee Titans keep the number one overall pick, it will be interesting to see who they will draft.

The Athletic’s Latest Mock Draft Has the Tennessee Titans Selecting Miami Hurricanes Quarterback Cam Ward

In the latest NFL Mock Draft by The Athletic’s staff, they have the Tennessee Titans selecting Miami Hurricanes quarterback Cam Ward with the number one overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. David Ubben said:

“The Titans have their pick between Ward and Shedeur Sanders, but Ward’s measurables are more impressive, and the impact he made at Washington State and Miami looks a lot like what Jayden Daniels did for LSU. Ward may be slightly less accurate than Sanders, but he’s a better processor and a much better athlete with a much stronger arm. Travis Hunter is the best prospect in this draft, but an elite quarterback can singlehandedly change the trajectory of a franchise. Ward is the best bet in this draft to become one.”

A lot of people feel like Cam Ward is the better quarterback in this NFL Draft than Shedeur Sanders is. Ward last season with the Miami Hurricanes completed 67.2% of his passes for 4,313 yards, 39 touchdowns, and seven interceptions.

He would no doubt be the Tennessee Titans’ starting quarterback next season over Will Levis if selected number one overall. The Titans can’t afford to have Levis as the starter heading into next season. Tennessee needs to find its starter for the long haul.

    Other Options

There are a couple of teams that could trade up to number one. The New York Giants, the New York Jets, and the Las Vegas Raiders could be some of the teams who call the Tennessee Titans for the number one overall pick. Tennessee is not one player away from contending.

If the Titans do not keep the pick, then there is a chance that they are not drafting Cam Ward and they take someone else. However, if Tennessee does keep the pick and Ward isn’t the pick, then Shedeur Sanders, Travis Hunter, or Abdul Carter would feel like the most appropriate selection for this franchise.
