The Kansas City Chiefs have officially clinched their spot in the Super Bowl after defeating the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC Championship Game. However, the story will shift from on the field to tight end Travis Kelce’s girlfriend and pop superstar Taylor Swift. She has made her way onto the television screens of millions of people throughout the season and will be for the biggest sporting event of the year.
Taylor Swift has a concert in Tokyo, Japan on Saturday, Feb. 10 at 6 p.m. local time. However, with the time zone differences, there is a chance she will be in attendance to watch the Kansas City Chiefs on the field.
Credit to Boston Herald columnist Bill Speros for the information as it is a 12-hour flight from Tokyo to Las Vegas. Tokyo is also 16 hours ahead of Las Vegas so Swift can leave Tokyo at noon local time Sunday, Feb. 11 and land in Vegas at 8 a.m. Vegas time the same day, less than 12 hours before the official kickoff.
You’re welcome for the Taylor Swift update, football fans.
Will Taylor Swift see the Kansas City Chiefs win the Super Bowl?
The Kansas City Chiefs are heading to the Super Bowl but as of this writing, do not know whether they will be facing the Detroit Lions or the San Francisco 49ers. Either way, the Chiefs could wind up victorious as they are the most complete team remaining. They were able to dominate against the Baltimore Ravens without their All-Pro offensive guard Joe Thuney and were still able to limit the pressure on Mahomes.
The Lions are an explosive offensive team and were able to defeat the Chiefs in Week 1 but that game did not have defensive tackle Chris Jones or tight end Travis Kelce. The 49ers and Chiefs did not face off during the regular season but Kansas City has the advantage at the key positions as they have the better quarterback, coach and secondary.
