The Tampa Bay Buccaneers came into Monday night to face their toughest challenge of the new season. The Bucs were set to test their previously unbeaten record against a Philadelphia Eagles side, who for their part, have also yet to taste defeat in the new season.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers Star Mike Evans Honors LeBron James
Bucs wide receiver Mike Evans came into this game locked in. In fact, he even decided to channel one of the greatest athletes in the history of professional sports.
Heading into the Raymond James Stadium earlier on Monday, Evans was spotted rocking a LeBron James jersey ahead of their highly-anticipated bout against the Eagles:

For those wondering, that’s actually LeBron’s high school jersey during his days with St. Vincent-St. Mary High School in James’ hometown of Akron, Ohio. The four-time NBA champ made more than a few memories during his time with the Fighting Irish, easily making him the greatest player in the school’s history. Mike Evans seems to agree with this notion.
Bucs Suffer First Loss of Season Vs. Eagles
Unfortunately for Evans and the Bucs, the Eagles just proved to be too much to handle on Monday night. Philly remained undefeated to improve to 3-0 at the expense of Tampa Bay.
The Eagles pretty much dominated this game from the get-go, establishing a 22-3 lead entering the fourth quarter. The Bucs tried to make a game out of it by cutting down the lead to 11 points in the final period, but that was as close as they would get. Philly would go on to seal the win, 25-11.
For his part, Mike Evans caught four targets for a team-high 59 yards. Apparently, not even the LeBron James hat tip was enough to help Evans and the Buccaneers carve out a win on Monday.
